About
The objective of the Visiting Scholar Program is to strengthen the cooperation with outstanding scholars and researchers working in the fields of applied economics and finance. Invited scholars conduct research on topics relevant to the central bank. Visiting scholars are expected to give an open research seminar at the NBU and submit a paper to the Working Paper Series of the NBU. Joint projects with the NBU staff are welcome.
Timing and Duration
Visiting Scholars may start at any time during the year, subject to agreement between each researcher and the NBU.
Research visits normally last for between one and four weeks.
Application materials
An application for the Visiting Scholar Program should include the following:
- curriculum vitae
- research proposal
- preferred timing of the visit
- list of the applicant’s relevant publications.
